John 3:36, Eternal Life

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. 

This verse summarizes all of chapter 3. Jesus brings and offers eternal life as a gift.  

John Stott writes: 

What is at stake in the ministry of the Son is nothing less that the bringing of salvation to the world. Jesus is the one from heaven, come from the loving heart of God to the world to offer salvation to everyone who will believe in him.  

Give God thanks for the salvation and life you have in Jesus and pray for those who do not know him, that they too may come to know the gift of abundant life in Jesus.
